WEATHER
The weather is one of the true joys of The Inn at Palmetto Bluff.
With its temperate climate, cool southeast river breezes, and sunny skies,
the South Carolina Lowcountry offers ideal weather for any vacation.
Palm trees rustle along the banks of the May, New and Cooper River shores
as breezes roll in, creating a pleasant tropical feel along the South Carolina coast.
Spring and fall are two of the most beautiful seasons at Palmetto Bluff, with
temperatures usually staying between 65 and 75 degrees, occasionally edging up
towards 80 degrees. The summer is, of course, the hot season here; but you can
always spend the day enjoying the internal waterways and kayaking the May River.
In the summertime, temperatures can reach into the 90's, but they almost never
go higher than 95 degrees, even on the hottest day of the year.
The winter in Bluffton, South Carolina can a be a bit chilly, with lows dipping
down into the 30's on occasion, but it is a remarkably short season. Winter here
usually runs from early January through late February.
By March, spring begins to blossom, bringing brilliant azalea, dogwood,
and wisteria blooms that blanket the vast expanse of Palmetto Bluff with
color. And so the cycle of the seasons begins again.
